The moment you've all been waiting for is here. Please join Jennifer and Brendan Wimer in welcoming their son, William (Liam) Allan Wimer in to the world. Liam was born on Wednesday, February 25th, 2009 at 10:19 AM, at Butler Memorial Hospital. He weighed 9 lbs, 6 oz. and was 20 inches long. He has long dark brown hair, as you can see and is very mild-mannered.
After a long wait in the nursery inside an incubator, Liam was finally brought out to his tired yet eager mother and a rather calm and ready father. Although he was so tired that he could barely open his eyes, Liam still managed to drink some formla and attempted to nurse, but was simply too exhausted for the latter. Brendan got to do the first parental feeding with the forumla so Jenn could get some rest, only after she spent some well deserved time holding her precious new son closely.
Jenn is still recovering at the hospital and should be allowed to return home with Liam some time Saturday. Liam so far seems completely healthy and content. The only health note worth mentioning is that since he is a large baby, he had to eat immediately and often to make sure his blood sugar levels were high enough. It's also worth mentioning that he has some of the biggest feet one might see on a newborn. You can check them out in the pics….and it should be noted that grandpa Wimer has fairly large hands, for a measure of scale.
I've added some flickr photos to this post, but to see them in a larger size or in a set, you can go to: http://www.flickr.com/photos/polymerkid/sets/72157614440735458/
There aren't picks of Grandpa Johnson because he wasn't there for the time period that I was. Sorry, Thane!
Hopefully I will have some videos up soon for Jenn & Bren.
UPDATE SUBMITTED by Mark, for Jennifer.
