One Month Doctor’s visit – March 31, 2009

Liam will be 5 weeks old tomorrow!
which means Jenn has to go back to work in only 3 weeks :(

He saw his pediatrician, Dr. Viji Selvaraj (Dr. Raj for short), for his 1 month physical.
He was a big hit at the doctor's office with the staff and other children. One little boy, who just found out that he's going to be a big brother, asked if he could kiss Liam's head because, "he's just so cute!" Awwwwww.

Liam now weighs 11lbs 12oz and is 23 inches long, which puts him in the 90th percentile for his age. Hopefully he'll continue to grow like this and use his powers for good and not evil! Liam also received his second HepB vaccine, which he was not too pleased about. At least the Tylenol he takes for the post-injection pain is cherry flavored!
Regardless, Liam continues to be a happy boy and smiles at Mom & Dad… and his mobile… and ceiling fans… and lights.

Caught on Film! – March 30, 2009

Liam has been rolling from his tummy to his back on purpose for the past couple days. Today, we actually caught it with the video camera… and it only took 5 minutes and 30 seconds of coaxing!

Growing up already- March 24, 2009

Liam continues to amaze us, and we can't believe he is almost 4 weeks old already!
He is becoming more alert every day, and has been picking up his head and looking around more and more. He also rolled from his tummy to his back once… but we think it may have been an accident!

Liam made his first trip out of Butler County on March 21st to meet his Great Grandmothers that live in Ridgway, PA (where Jenn grew up).The trip went very well and he enjoyed his visit with his great grandmothers very much… and even got a chance to show off his Tummy-Time skills at Great Uncle Gregg & Great Aunt Rainey's house!

He started getting "big-boy" baths in the bathtub that fits over the kitchen sink last week. He loved the bath, and the warm water seemed to really relax him. In fact, it relaxed him so much that as soon as Brendan wrapped him up in the towel, he turned the towel into a giant diaper! We're sure it won't be the last time that happens!

(we need to take more photos of Liam and Mommy! Daddy hogs the spotlight!)

Two weeks Old! – March 11, 2009

The Liam Fan Club is growing daily!
We have had many visitors over the past week, and he finally had the chance to meet many extended family members. Liam has not had the chance to meet his other 3 great-grandmothers yet, but we hope to make a trip to visit with them within the next week or two!
Over the past week we have learned that Liam really enjoys reading books. What a scholar!
We also found out the hard way that not all diapers are created equal.

… and just because he's so darn cute

One week old! – March 4, 2009

Well, after one week, I think it's safe to say that Liam is the light of our lives. We do, however, have a new found respect for all parents! We arrived home on February 28th, and are adjusting well. Diablo, one of our dogs, immediately accepted Liam into "the pack" and is very protective of him. Buddy, our other dog, is going to live with Grandpa Martin for a while. Buddy is not a bad dog, he's just a little too "interested" in Liam. We think Buddy and Grandpa Martin will make a good pair and are very thankful that Buddy can stay within the family.

We'll leave you with a few photos that Jenn finally got around to uploading…
