Trip to West Point, NY – May 27, 2009

Class Dismissed!

We traveled to West Point, NY for Uncle Matt's graduation from the United States Military Academy – this was Liam's first "big" trip! Aside from learning that during a growth spurt is not the best or easiest time to travel, everything went really well and Liam was a good sport. We enjoyed our time at West Point, and regret that we did not have more time to enjoy it's beauty! Uncle Matt received the Order of Lafayette Award for excellence in French, holds a BS in French and Arabic, and is now an officer in the US Army! Congrats, Uncle Matt! We're so proud of you!

Mother’s Day – May 12, 2009

Trying to put his fist in Mommy's mouth – one of his favorite things to do

Mother's Day was lovely. Brendan had planned a picnic at Moraine State Park, but it was just not warm enough. So, instead, Brendan made steaks, potatoes, salad and peas – yummy! Master William got his Mommy flowers, a great card, AND a gift certificate for a manicure and a pedicure! What a kind little boy!
It's amazing how fast the little ones develop. We're getting very close to giggles, folks! Actually, he has laughed twice already, but both times it was in his sleep! Liam is very good at entertaining himself with his friends (AKA Duck and Cow toys) in the pack n play. He WILL, however, let you know when he wants you to play with him!

Growing Like a Weed – May 5, 2009

Playing in the Pack n Play -  one of his favorite things to do

Master William saw the doctor last week for his 2 month physical. She said he is a very healthy little guy and currently weighs 14lbs. 11oz. and is 24.75 inches tall! He is currently wearing mostly 3-6 month clothes – however he is still in some 0-3 month pants. He can't help he has short legs like his father!
One of the drawbacks to being so big is that he no longer has the upper body strength to roll over. He's working on it, though! Liam's head control is getting much better and he is looking forward to the day when he can face forward in the carrier. Mom and Dad just bought him a "Bumbo" seat to try when he has enough head control to sit on his own. They are, apparently, really popular with the little ones!

Soooooo comfy!
