Monthly Archives: May 2011

Yes, it’s been a while since we updated. We have been pretty busy!  The bits of warm weather and sunshine have kept us outside playing and doing yard work.  Jenn started a new job at an urgent care center in April, which means Liam is back to “school” and LOVING it! If it were up to Liam, he’d go to school every day of the week – we’ll see how long that mentality lasts.

Liam is so busy these days – he absolutely loves to be outside, and usually wants to go outside as soon as he wakes up in the morning.  What does he like to do outside? ANYTHING. We collect bugs, look for birds, feed the birds, pick flowers, collect rocks, play basketball, look at clouds, draw with chalk, race against Mom and Dad, etc.

Liam’s language skills are growing by leaps and bounds. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t say, “I didn’t know that you knew that word!” Also, at age 2,  he uses “please” “thank you” and “excuse me” on a consistent basis without being reminded to do so. There are way too many people in our world lacking in manners, and we’re proud to be raising a wonderful, appreciative, and mannerly young man. In fact, he thanked us about 5 times for lunch today. It must have been one amazing grilled cheese sandwich!

Don’t get us wrong, he’s still a 2-year-old and has his tantrums and other toddler behavior. We try to keep our cool and remind ourselves that we can control how we react in the situation a LOT easier than Liam can. It’s hard to be 2! OK – onto what you’re really here for… the photos.

Easter 2011

We had a lot of fun this year during Easter weekend! Even though Mom had to work on Easter, we managed to spend time with family and have our own fun at home! The Easter Bunny brought all sorts of fun toys, and very little candy this year! Thanks, Easter Bunny!
